これまでに習得した数理科学と情報学の知識を基に，自然現象や社会現象に関わる未解明の問題を探る数理情報学上の修了研究に向けた基礎的指導を行う。
引き続き，各学生の興味・関心を見極めるため，多様なテーマに関する学術書・研究論文の講読・輪講などをおこない，修了研究のおおよその方向性を定めることを目指す。

数理情報学基礎論セミナーI-aを受けて，各学生が興味をもったテーマに関する文献レビューなどをさらに進め，そのテーマの最新の研究動向について理解を深めてもらう。
さらに，そのテーマに関連して解決すべき問題，必要とする基礎理論が何であるかを議論し整理する。

〔計画〕
1. 各自の興味・関心の高い数理情報学上の研究分野，並びにその境界分野に関する学術書・研究論文の講読・輪講などを行う。
2. 引き続き講読・輪講などを行う。
3. 最新の研究動向について理解を深める。
4. 各自の研究テーマの候補を挙げる。
5. 実現可能性の議論を行う。
6. 研究テーマを設定する。
7. 数理情報学に関する修了研究のおおよその方向性を定める。
8. 総括を行う。

必要に応じて参考資料を配布する。

授業の際にそれぞれの担当教員から指示する。

セミナーへの取組状況，プレゼンテーションや討論の適切さを総合的に評価する。

In this seminar, fundamental knowledge in mathematics and informatics will be taught in order for students to prepare research toward their dissertations in the field of mathematical informatics. In particular, to discover each student's interests and preferences, the participants in this seminar are expected to present various texts, which include suitable textbooks and research papers. Through this seminar, we assist the students to make their research plans. For the possible research topics for this seminar, please contact the instructor.

The goal of this seminar is to prepare participants to commence research in various fields of mathematical informatics. The participants are expected to read some texts or research papers under the supervision of the instructor. And they are also expected to give presentations of their study.
